93.9 FM KZLA, Los Angeles

Country 93.9 FM Los Angeles is currently seeking Interns for the Fall Semester to assist in the production of the KZLA Mid-day and Afternoon Shows. This is a great opportunity for a broadcasting student to kick-start their radio career by learning how a radio station operates first-hand. Since this is an unpaid internship, you must be able to receive college credit. Responsibilities include answering the KZLA Request Lines, assisting with show prep, research and traffic, plus other duties as assigned. Some of the requirements include:

  • Current enrollment in a college/university
  • Familiarity with KZLA, its music, artists, and DJs
  • Excellent phone and people skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • A positive and professional attitude, the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, and a very strong desire to learn!
Hours are as follows:

Mid-day Show: Monday through Friday 10a -3p (specific days TBD). Additional hours TBD.

Or

Afternoon Show: Tuesdays and Fridays 3p – 7p (specific days TBD). Additional hours TBD.

The ideal candidates should be available for internships to start at the beginning of September and conclude at the end of December.
